Makenzie Ann Bigler

Makenzie was born on Wednesday, June 23! I'm sorry it took so long to make the post but I've been enjoying every second I can with her! I was induced at 7 am on Wednesday morning and she finally born at 6:46 pm. She weighed 7 pounds, 3 ounces and was 18.5 inches long. She is absolutely beautiful. It was the most amazing, spiritual experience! We are so glad that she is finally here. We love her more than we could have ever imagined. I have enjoyed every second of being a Mommy and I'm so grateful that Heavenly Father has blessed us with her!

When she was only 15 hours old, we had some professional
pictures done of her. American Fork Hospital is contracted with this photographer and they offer their services to all of the Moms. I thought it would be so fun to have them done but didn't plan on purchasing them.
When I saw the pictures, I couldn't resist. They turned out so good. I wish I would have known when they were coming so that I could have gotten myself ready. I even
have wet hair in some of the pictures since the photographer offered to add some more for us. I am still very happy with how they turned out. Some of my favorites are included with this post. If you want to view all of them, you can view them at www.bellababyphotography.com with password 0623makenziebigler.
Bret was able to take a week off of work to be with us! He has been a huge help and is such a wonderful Dad! He has been so good to get up and help me in the middle of the night. The second she cries, he is there to make everything is all better. He went into work for a while today and we sure did miss him. It's going to be a huge adjustment with him being at work all day and we are going to miss him like crazy. The second he got home today, he was ready to hold and play with Makenzie. I love watching him interact with her and hold her. My love for him has grown so much over the past week.

A little contest!

Today is the due date for Makenzie to make her grand entrance into this world! I hope today is the day. Since she hasn't arried yet, I thought it would be fun to have a little contest. How much do you think she will weigh? How long do you think she will be? Lastly, when do you think she will finally make her grand entrance into this world? I will think of some prize for whoever wins!

We are getting a little anxious for her to get here. I have a list of things that are suppose to help you go into labor, nothing has worked so far. :( I have everything ready to go and we can't wait to meet her. I hope that we don't have too much longer to go! I've had several showers and everyone has spoiled me! Makenzie has a lot of stuff and it is all so cute! Thanks everyone for coming and supporting me and for the wonderful gifts. The nursery is almost complete and it looks so cute. Thanks to my Mom who sewed and designed everything in the nursery! She is amazing!

32 weeks and counting

I can't believe that I will be 32 weeks on Wednesday! Only 8 more weeks! The time really has gone fast. Here's to hoping the next eight weeks will go just as fast for us. We are so excited for our little girl to join us and we are having way to much fun shopping and gettting things ready for her arrival. We got a beautiful crib off of KSl a couple of weeks ago, my fabric is waiting to be sewn with my Mom next week, and we have choosen paint colors for the nursery. So, we'll start painting soon as well! I can't wait to get it all put together! I have my first shower on Saturday and I'm super excited. I have so much more to post about but I don't have pictures with me so it'll have to wait. But, I promise I'll post about our California Trip sometime this week!

It's a....

First of all, for anyone who doesn't know, I am pregnant! We couldn't
be more excited! I am 19 weeks now and my due date is June 16! We had an ultrasound done last week. I've had several done but this one was so different and fun to watch. It was so fun to watch our baby move around. I couldn't believe how much movement there was especially since I couldn't feel any of it. It was also really cool because our baby actually looks like a baby now! The little fingers and toes were so cute. I wish I would have got some pictures of those. My next ultrasound is on February 1st. Bret can't get off work so my Mom and Doula are coming to the appointment. I can't wait to see our little one again!
This is my favorite picture we got. I love the little profile!

Finally, the picture you have been waiting for! We are having a baby GIRL!

Humming Bird Adventure.

Can you believe this, two posts in one day! I was over at a neighbors dropping off cookies their little girls helped me make last night, Emma came running in the room and wanted me to come outside and see what she found. It was a little hummingbird and was so cute. The bird wasn't doing so great so we took it inside and made some sugar water. We called another neighbor who knows a lot about birds and she told us to try and get the birdie to drink the sugar water and hopefully it would come around and fly away. Most likely it was stunned from fling into something like a window. I always thought that was just a windex joke and didn't really happen, I guess I was wrong. We spent the next thirty minutes holding the birdie in our hands and feeding it sugar water. It slowly came around and then flew off. The kiddos loved it! They had fun holding the birdie, nursing it back to health, and then watching it fly around. Their Mom took some pictures. I'll get them from her and then post them!

Speaking of birds, we have a huge Robin Egg nest in our grill. We noticed it after their were already eggs in it and didn't have the heart to throw it out. The birds should hatch in a couple of weeks and we are pretty excited. The neighbor girls love coming over every couple of day's to check on the birds. I do have some pictures of the nest, enjoy!

Jade!

We got another little puppy a couple of weeks after Jasmine died. Prince loves her and they have become the best of friends. She is a Teacup Min-Pin. We got her from a lady at Walmart selling puppies. We waited until the end of the day hoping that she would give us a steal of a deal since she told us that if she didn't get rid of the puppies she was being kicked out of her apartment. We were so excited when we came back and she was still available! We also brought prince for approval and he loved her right away. She weighed 3 pounds when we got her and is about 4 pounds now. She will be under 5 pounds as an adult. She's a little thing but has so much energy! Price and Jade run around and play together all day and then cuddle together at night! Its super cute. Enjoy the pictures. Jade run around and play together all day and then cuddle together at night! Its super cute. Enjoy the pictures.

First night home!

This is Bret and the puppies on his birthday! We got Jade a couple of days before his birthday. She was his birthday present since we used the birthday budget to get her. I wrapped her up and put a bow around her neck so Bret could still open a present on his b-day.

Best buddies! I took this really early in the morning. Bobbi had just dropped of Jaxson! He fell asleep next to Bret after letting the doggies out of the kennel. They jumped up on the bed and were posing for me. You can see Bret and Jaxson's blanket in the background. I don't think either one of them knew I was taking pictures. HAHA

First night home, they had so much fun playing. She looks really mean in this picture but she is very gentle and loves to cuddle.

Just cuddling!
Nap time! I came into the family room the other day and this is what I found. They slept like this for a couple of hours. So cute.

Jasmine Marie Bigler 11/12/07 - 3/1/09

Jasmine, our sweet puppy, passed away on Sunday evening. She was born with a liver shunt. Basically, she had an extra vein that bypassed her liver. The majority of her blood went through this vein and was not cleaned by her liver. As this blood circulated through her system, it slowly poisoned her. She was on a special diet and was not in pain through out her life. On Sunday she when I came home from dinner at my Parents and Bret came home from Work, we found her in her kennel. Usually, she can't wait for us to let her out. She was unresponsive and when she tried to get up she couldn't. We rushed her into the Pet Hospital. After testing, we found out that her Liver Shunt had caused her pancreas to fail and that she had diabetes,a current blood glucose level of over 1200, and was in a diabetic coma. The doctor told us that with a liver shunt and diabetes, he would not suggest treatment. There was an extremely low chance that it would work and if it did, she would not have a good qualify of life and would be in pain the rest of her short life. At 11:45 pm the doctor injected her with a medicine and within 10 seconds her heart stopped. It was the hardest decision we have had to make. We buried her at Bret's Parents house on Monday evening.

We are going to miss Jasmine very much. I didn't realize how attached I was to her. I have spent almost every day with her for the past year. I work from home and she would spend most of her day on my lap or in my office playing on the floor with Prince. She loved to cuddle in blankets and sit by the heater. Every morning she would come running in the room to cuddle in bed with me. Every time she got in trouble, we would call her Jasmine Marie, and she would get the cutest look on her face. It always made it impossible to be mad at her for very long. She always knew what we needed, and was there as a friend and companion to us her whole life long. Whenever Jaxson (our nephew) came by, she would get so excited. She loved playing with him and occasionally taking napes with him if he fell asleep watching a movie. Jasmine also loved playing with our other dog Prince. It was very unusual for them to be apart. They loved each other. Price misses her so much.

We will never forget her and what a blessing she was to us in a difficult time in our lives. Rest well Jasmine until we meet again.
